Princess Gowns

Speaking from a man perspective, princess gowns always make a killing for its rare-to-see occasions and also the ability to cover most body flaws.

Therefore, a beautiful gown will not only attract envious eyes but also melt guys’ heart. While choosing the right gown can be both exciting and stressful at the same time, I will provide you a few guidelines to become the most beautiful princess of your version.

Determine Your Budget

When choosing your gown, you must first identify your budget. If you have a tight budget, you might have to consider rent one instead of buying one. With a fixed budget, it makes it easy for you to decide the range of gown, material, and type you can afford.

If you are getting married, you would want to let the bridal shop assistant know your budget as well to avoid disappointment later choosing the gown that you like but too expensive for you.

Keep it Simple

From the past, princess gowns had been tailored to show grandness, royalty with fine embroidery to every stitch and often exaggerated. However, modern princess gowns are more slick and simple yet elegant. That said, you do not want to look like going to a medieval costume party or just walked out from an6 antique store…

Avoid picking large or long accessories. Petite accessories such as small shinny crystal, sparkling tiara will fit to most contemporary princess gowns.

Choose the Right Style that Suit to Your Body Shape

Understanding your body shape can make you the best illusionist; namely hiding your weakness and bringing the best out of you. Following are quick tips to help you choose the right gown for your body shape:

-    Pear body shape = A-line gown, off-shoulder style, full ball gown style.
-    Inverted Triangle body shape = V-neck, Strapless, halter neck, and wide skirt, A-line
-    Rectangle body shape = A-line, wide skirt, princess styles suits you.
-    Apple body shape = A-line with empire waist
-    Hourglass body shape = needless to say, any style will fit to your figure.

As you can see, A-line and princess gowns dresses tend to fit most body shapes because its wide dress which hide most of the imperfection.

Disney Princess Gowns?

Disney had came out their own line of Princess Gowns which tailored to Disney Princess lovers. Each gown is designed by leading bridal designer, Alfred Angelo, signatures Disney princesses such as Ariel of Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Cinderella, Belle of Beauty and the beast, Princess Jasmine of Aladdin, Princess Tiana of The Princess and The Frog and more.

You don’t have to worry if it looks like a costume which is not the case. Disney Princess Gowns are designed to look just like contemporary gowns without the lost of the Disney elegance and class. Disney also has its own jewel and accessories that you can match as well.

My Personal Favorites

I just love Belle and Ariel Princess Gowns. I find Ariel’s Gown shows nice curve of a women body. It actually brings out the sexiness of the little mermaid. I believe I also influenced by the beauty Belle, of her wisdom and strong character. Her gown is also unique in such a way that symbolize beauty, kind, strong but gentle of the lady.

If you are a short lady, I recommend you Disney’s Jasmine Gown. It is empire waist so it will “lengthen” your body visually. On top of that the skirt is not as wide as most princess gowns, so the whole dress will look more vertical. Don’t forget your high heels as well!

As you can see, it is not hard to choose a princess gown for yourself. Determine your budget; choose simple but elegant designs with small shinny accessory. Understand your body shape. You shouldn’t go wrong on princess gowns in most case.
